However, you should try and pay more than the minimum at least towards one of your debts. Make a list of all the credit card debts that you have to pay towards. This list should be a detailed list and should start with the credit card debt that has the maximum rate of interest. Ideally you are to try and pay more than the minimum towards the debt that has the highest rate of interest. Try to cut down on your expenses and pay more than the minimum towards the debt with the highest interest. This is because; if you are able to pay off this debt, then you will be saving a lot on interest payments. After you pay off the credit card that has the highest rate of interest you will be able to put that amount of money towards the repayment of your other credit cards. Your next focus should be the credit card with the next highest rate of interest.

2. Negotiating with your credit card companies: When you are unable to make credit card payments with ease, then you must inform your creditors. It is best that you reveal to them as soon as possible that you are not being able to make the payments as you are a student and do not have very high earnings. You may request them to lower that rate of interest that they are charging you. In maximum cases most lenders will be willing to help you out. Thus, it is very important that you approach them politely so that your interest rates get reduced and you are able to pay your credit card debts at more reasonable rates and with greater comfort.
